Veracruz is a place that has everything, with a rich culture and beautiful scenery it is one of the most special states in Mexico. Veracruz has culture, art, traditions, business, tourism, and modernity. The state of Veracruz has a beautiful climate and a large array of tourist attractions throughout its vast territory.

The more emblematic sites of Veracruz that you must know are:

-The aquarium, is one really fascinating place, it is the house of thousands of fish of different colors and sizes, located in the port of Veracruz.

-The pyramids of Tajin located in Poza Rica Veracruz, are one totonaca pride.

-Rafting in Jalcomulco, where you can do rappel, gotcha, rowing boats, etc.

-The strong San Juan of Ulúa, historical place of Veracruz

-Catemaco, live a magical experience and know the island of monkeys, the only place where this species is in liberty.

-The Antigua, where you can know the house of Hernán Cortez and the Ermita.

Also you can eat a variety of delicious dishes as Huauchinango, fish in pickle, chopped jarocha, tamales, xacahuilt, the famous coffe of the Parroquia where you can listen to the songs of Agustin Lara, famous Mexican composer as for example the song, “Veracruz”.
The people in Veracruz are playful, every year in the month of March or April they perform the famous Carnival. The typical dances are huapango and sones jarochos.
